What it costs

My fees are £100 per hour per person, although you may divide this between you in any way you may agree.  Fees are payable at the end of each session, which will normally last 1½ hours.  While every case differs, mediations dealing solely with matters relating to children usually take three to four sessions.  Where there are financial issues as well five to six sessions are not uncommon.  There is also a charge for the preparation of summaries, normally at the end of mediation.

The fee for an information and assessment meeting is £85 if you attend separately or £130 if you attend together.

You will find that mediation fees are lower than solicitors’ fees and that there will be a substantial costs savings to you by choosing to use mediation rather than go to court.
